Great option for bigger heads

Trucker hats are a very touchy subject for me. I love the look but hate when the adjusters are stretched super wide. It makes my big head look bigger than it really is. So I went to the Madison store while in California and tried these on. I wear a 7 5/8 fitted and this hat fits perfect with the straps overlapped completely. The perfect fit.

Finally some stylish hats for bigger heads!

I wear a size 8 fitted cap and these XLs fit great. I’m on the second snap but these hats have the right depth for big heads. I bought 4 in different colors, been wearing them every day.

Great hats

I’m 6’6” tall. Finding hats that fit is a challenge. These are awesome. Fit with extra room.

Frame Fit Guide

You're looking at a regular-fit frame. Here's what to know.

I have a big head. Will these fit?

If your current frames feel tight at the temples or leave marks, you'll likely want our XL fit. XL frames are built wider through the temples and the front, so they sit comfortably on larger heads without pinching.

These look big. Are they too big for me?

If your face is average-width or smaller, our XL fit may sit too far out on your face. Most customers do best in our regular fit. Try those first, and exchange to XL if they feel snug at the temples.

What if the bridge feels wrong?

The bridge is the distance between your lenses (the second number in the size code). If frames slide down your nose, the bridge is too wide. If they sit too high or pinch, it's too narrow. Most adults sit between 18mm and 22mm.

What do the numbers on the inside of frames mean?

Every frame has three measurements (lens width, bridge, temple length) printed on the inside of the arm. If you've got a pair of glasses you love, find those numbers and match them up against our sizes below.

Our Sizing Code (Explained)

Every Madson frame has three measurements. You'll see them like this: 53–19–145

53: Lens width (in millimeters). The horizontal width of one lens. Bigger number = bigger lens. Most adults sit between 50–58mm.

19: Bridge width. The gap between the two lenses, where the frame rests on your nose. Most adults sit between 16–22mm.

145: Temple length. The arm of the frame, from the hinge to the tip behind your ear. Most adults sit between 140–150mm.

How to measure your current pair: flip them over. The numbers are usually printed on the inside of the left temple. Match them to ours to find your closest fit.
